Mr. Anderson:

Since you are interested in the 35th Alabama, I thought you might put the following to good use:

From the Leighton News (Colbert County) 22 Jul 1904:
------------------------------------
Some War Data

Tuscumbia, Ala., July 18.
Editor News:
I see in your paper of the 15th inst., a letter from P.N. Wilson, enquiring about some members of Co. B. 35th Alabama Regiment. As I was a member of that company and regiment I will answer. Capt. John Harris died at Tiby Station, Miss., in spring of 1864. Lieutenant Sam Stewart was killed at the battle of Franklin, Tenn., and Dal Richardson died since the war, I think in 1875. There were four Richardson brothers in that Company and all have died since the war except the oldest, George, who lives near this place.

Respectfully,

J.N. Thompson.
