Thanks for the timely reply. I remember somewhere in my research reading that John Brahan Patton was related to Gov. Patton, but I have been unable to locate the reference. I am of the opinion that it was mentioned in an article in the Confederate Veteran Magazine in which John B. Patton was mentioned.

I am presently building a roster of the men who served in the 35th Alabama Infantry, since many men who served in the regiment are missing from the National Archives records. I hope to include biographical information and some limited genealogical references as well. If anyone knows of soldiers connected with the 35th Alabama Infantry, please contact me.
