Re: Casualties in Lockhart's Battalion at Chehaw

One of the wounded, Pvt. Thomas Taylor Durrett of Co. E, Lockhart's Battalion later died of his wound on September 21, 1864 at Camp Watts. This is per a death certificate made out by the Camp Watts Surgeon U. R. Jones the original of which is in the Samuel H. Stout Collection at the University of Texas. Apparently a member of the camp's "Supporting Force" Pvt. H. C. Terry of Co. C was also wounded during the battle as there is a certificate for him which gives him as having died of wound on Sept. 25, 1864 at Camp Watts.
