Re: Fightin' Joe Wheeler
In Response To: Fightin' Joe Wheeler ()

Nathan Bedford Forrest was hands down the toughest and most difficult Confederate general officer during the War of Northern Aggression. He told Bragg and Van Doren both that if he ever met them again away from the battlefield that he would kill them. He thought that Hood was an idiot and flatly refused to follow many of his orders. The only other general officers that he held any respect for at all was Generals Fitzhugh Lee and Joe Wheeler. That is a very good ruler to measure Wheeler by. Wheeler also fought hard to help the Southern States to regain their place in the Union during and after Reconstruction.
