I have the muster roll of the 44th AL posted at 44th AL Muster Roll, and it includes an entry for 5th Sgt. Spencer H. JOHNSON of Co. "A". According to Boyd's Devil's Den, he was living in Selma, was 28 at enlistment, and was wounded at Gettysburg and Bermuda Hundred.
