I've never visited the library in Huntsville, but there is a complete set of microfilm for all Confederate units at Wallace State near Cullman.

Last night I looked at Captain Williams' records and, sure enough, he received a furlough home to Brundidge on Jan. 22, 1865, and had not returned as shown on the February roll. Morris Penny is very thorough, so this explains his remark about DeKalb williams.
