Many Alabamians migrated to TX after the war, and these are merely a few. But, it's almost a pleasure to list names of some who actually survived past war's end. Just as an aside, I was looking at the muster list of the 15th AL Infantry, and of those men who joined in 1862, it "seems" as if about 3/4 of them died of camp disease before ever getting to a battle (nothing scientific here; this is my perception only, but many of the 15th's 1862 recruits died within weeks of joining up. Very sad!)
