Thanks, probate records indicated that he was the agent authorizing salt shipments. It was Scott the elder. Specifically on on pg. 377 the Probate Judge writes," you will aquire a written authorization from Colonel Robert T. Scott to purchase salt". I have seen the actual written order from Col. Scott. It is in the elders hand. The question is: Why isn't he listed on rolls? Was he the govenors personal agent? Was this title honorary? His son is not listed on muster rolls.
