There are five files at the ADAH about these companies. They are labeled:

Brady's Company
Johnson's Company
Kierce's Company
Lockhart's Company
Grace's Company

All may contain muster rolls, but I've not looked recently. You might also reference my recent post about the Macon County Reserves, a similar command created at the same time. The post includes some general information about their organization and the type of men to be found on roll which applies to all county reserves (first class militia) in Alabama.

Of course these were state troops not under Confederate command, but the Yankees may have carried some of these men off when they came through Covington County in March 1865.

Do you know what beat or beats were represented by Kierce's Company?
