Sorry, only county I have Beat locations are my
own county, Dale.

Co B, Covington County Reserves (First Class)
commanded by Capt S.S. Johnson represented
Beat Nos 2, 6 and 12.

Co C, Covington County Reserves (First Class)
commanded by Capt B.F. Lockhart represented
Beat Nos 4, 5 and 11.

Brady's Co Covington County Militia (Class Two)
commanded by Capt J.T. Brady; being State Militia
do not believe they would have represented any
particular Beat/s; this was a 67 man company
with ages ranging from 16 to 58.

Another from that area: Co I, 4th Rgt, Ala Res
(Senior) with Capt John G. Adkison commanding;
no particular beat here, men were enrolled in
Barbour by Capt Irvin, Covington by Lt J.M.
Kearney and Dale by a Lt White; 77 men with the
youngest 45 and the oldest 49.

Another: "Company of Andalusia Volunteers" under
the command of Capt James T. Cumbie; muster roll
dtd Jul 16, 1860.

In Covington also: 60th Rgt, 8th Bde, 11th Div
Ala Militia; organized about 1848 and still
active as late as 1863 under the command of BG
John R. Salter.
