Re: Little Bear Creek battle/skirmish

The ink on Roddey's commission as brigadier general was barely dry at this time, so "brigades" of Johnson and Patterson had yet to be established. When they were, Moreland's command served under Col. Johnson, along with Roddey's old regiment, as well as Williams' and Warren's Cavalry Battalions. Col. Patterson commanded his own regiment, Pickett's 10th Cavalry and Stuart's Cavalry Battalion. With the addition of Ferrell's Georgia Battery, this is the list of units Roddey submitted to General Wilson in his selective prisoner-of-war exchange proposal of February 1865. If memory serves, Roddey's list also included his own escort company, Sleeth's Company, which I have never identified, and perhaps Newsom's Tennessee Cavalry; I really don't recall.
