I suspect that John W. & J. W. G. Innerarity to be the same individual.

John W. Innerarity, Private, Company K, 3rd Alabama Infantry, enlisted April 24, 1861 at Mobile, Alabama by Captain Woodruff for 12 months, discharged at Norfolk, Va., September 3, 1861 to accept a Lieutenancy in a company then in the process of organizing, when nearly completed, "the War Department determined it was not to be "mustered in," whereupon he ran the blockade to Havana and "on his return" he fell into the hands of the enemy about June 17, 1862, released from prison March, 1863 "Asks for an appointment on HQ of Genl Maurys on Lt Genl [E. K.] Smiths Staff," June 21, 1863, employed on extra duty as a Clerk, Head Quarters, Department of Gulf, May, July, September, October, November 1863, A.A.Generals Office December, 1863, in A. A. G. O., H. Q. Mobile, January/February & June, July & August, 1864, admitted 2nd Division, Howard's Grove Hospital, Richmond, Va December 27, 1864, returned to duty January 9, 1865
