My earlier post was an attempt to explain that men at Camp Watts were assigned to different companies. The hospital was not organized that way, but the camp was. The post was also an attempt to explain that some officers and men were organized as a battalion for emergency duty at Mobile. If you have evidence to show that W. M. Stanfield never left the Notasulga during the war, it would be needless to review McCroskey's Battalion of Conscripts and Reserves.

For your purposes Camp Watts AL is sufficient designation. Hospital is an assignment, not a military command, so I would leave that off. Use the space for 'Notasulga' if you wish.
