Laura, I saw your entry about our great great grandfather Dr. Wm Cordwell Cross. I have the Confederate papers (orders, correspondence, etc) that he kept after the war ended. Will be glad to share since you are working on this too. He left the 16th and moved about quite about as needed during the battles.

Also, I was surprised to see that you had indicated his brother Cyprian also served in the Confederate army. Nothing I have indicates this, so I would love to know what source you found on this. I do know from the letters I have between the brothers that Cyprian was very ill in the years leading up to the war, so I am surprised that he served. He died right after the war.
