I am on the trail of James H Shegog, located the family cemetery on Sat in the Brick area of Colbert Co. no tombstones
James H Shegog was a Corp. Co. E. 2nd Alabama Inf. stationed at Ft. Morgan 1861-1862 this is the only service
records I have located, his obit says he was in the Confederate service through out the war. need someone to see if
they can come up with another unit he might have been in. This is what I have on him I have a birth date of 1835
Alabama Archives, I don't think this is right because obit says he fought in two war was in Benjamin Franklin Cheatham's
Regt, Mexican war. enlisted at 16 yrs. old so this would make him born abt. 1830 -31 Ireland
