I live in Texas..my hometown, Paris, Texas, is know as a racial town..only when outsiders comes in and start trouble. On the Courthouse lawn is a granite memorial dedicated to the Confederacy.
As far as I know it has never been under attack. In the cemetery when my parents are buried there is one Confederate soldier. I try to keep a flag on his grave, but it is gone every time I go out there. I am a proud member of the UDC, I take these things seriously.
