Rollie: I have Illene Thompson's book and on page 280 Co. E. Pvt. Elijah N. Taylor, Private, enlisted September 13, 1862 aty Mobile and was discharged Dec. 17, 1862. He was listed as slighted woundfed with a minie ball to the right thigh at the Battle of Peach Tree Creek near Atlanta, Georgia on July 20, 1864. (Guess he must have reenlisted). He was transferred to the General Hospital in Atlanta on July 21st. No further record. Also, other Taylor's in Co. E. are: Josiah M. Taylor, William Taylor and W. J. Taylor. Hope this helps.
