I enjoyed very much reading about your find. If I may, may I propose that the SCV may be a more suitable recipient? As with so many State and governmental organizations, political correctness may never allow this find to be seen. One example is the Auburn University Civil War collection which is kept hidden and out of the public view. By donating to the SCV, it can be assured to be in "friendly" hands long after we are gone.
