For accurate, name by name lists of officers and men present for duty and who may have killed, wounded or captured in a given battle or skirmish, check the rolls prepared by company commanders at the end of 1864. These composite rolls devised by the Alabama state legislature provide action-by-action data on every officer and man who ever belonged to a company. Originals can be found with the ADAH regimental files, which have recently been digitalized by Ancestry. Of course the action of Oct 27, 1864, is the final on record for each company, so it's easy to check.
