Capt Leverett Hutchinson's command included transfers from different units organized June 17, 1863, and assigned to the Department of the Gulf. The War Department designated Hutchinson's command Co "C", 2nd Confederate Engineer Regiment. Capt Hutchinson's command is usually mentioned and indexed in the OR under his last name.
