Lisa --

It's the same man. William G Crow was one of forty-six men assigned to Co "D", 3rd Alabama Reserves. He failed to report for duty. A total of eighty officers and men are on roll, absentees leaving only thirty-four ever present in this small company. Evidently Crow elected to avoid Confederate service and enroll in Larkin Breed's Company, Randolph County Militia. This was one of several militia companies organized for local service in Randolph County AL during the summer and fall of 1864.

I'll be happy to describe the duties of Larkin Breed's command if you wish.
