Indeed, the men of the 42nd Alabama were deeply engaged at Bentonville alongside the remnants of the original 37th and 54th Alabama -- all within Baker's Brigade. I'd be interested in obtaining a copy of the article you reference, if you'd be so kind as to share it.

You can read some of the accounts of Baker's Brigade actions on my website below. The information is organized chronologically, so the actions in North Carolina will be on the final page/section of my site.

I'd love to review the other names that might be included in that article for anyone else who rings familiar in any of these units that were ultimately consolidated into the 37th.
