James K. Gordon 2nd Battalion lIght Artillery

My 2nd great grandfather was James Kennedy Gordon from Lowndes County, Alabama. I have found a private James K. Gordon from Alabama who fought with the 2nd Battalion, Alabama Light Artillery. File number M374 roll 16. My James K. Gordon was born in 1826 in Maury County, Tennennee and died in Lowndes County, Alabama in 1884. At the time of his enlistment, he would have been living in Lowndes County, Alabama. A brother of his named Francis Gordon also may have been a part of the same unit. I am trying to find out information on the James K. Gordon from file number M374 roll 16 that may prove that this James K. Gordon and my James K. Gordon were indeed the same person. Two cousins of my James K. Gordon from Lowndes County, AL were wounded and shortly died after from the Battle of Seven Pines in Virginia. Their names were David Gordon who was mustered in with the Hayneville Guards, Company E, 6 th Alabama, and James F. Gordon assume also with the same unit. Another one of his cousins, James Caperton Gordon was killed in the Battle of Atlanta. Any help would be very much appreciated.
