Company C, Alabama 44th Infantry Regiment

My great great grandfather, Robert Washington Palmore, was mortally wounded at Chickamauga. My records indicate he was in Company C, Alabama 44th Infantry Regiment. Information is conflicting - some say died at Chickamauga, other info indicates mortally wounded but died a few days later. I have found records (NARA) and made the following note in my files: Note March 12, 2013: Alabama Infantry, Company C, Confederacy, Rank = Private. Found on NARA records, Film M374, roll 34; Military service: September 19, 1863, Private, Co. C, 44th Alabama Infantry. Fatally wounded at Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia.

I cannot find burial information for this gg granddad. Any information will be appreciated.
