A correction to my last post. The youngest Driggers child shown in Artemissa's household in 1860 is 1 year old Louisiana A. Driggers. not Narcissa J.

Also, I might also mention that the marriage license between Stephen and Artemissa (Dec 16, 1854) indicates Stephen is 20 years old (b. 1834) and that Arthur Lott is his "guardian". That may mean that he was was being raised in Arthur Lott's household.

"License issued this 16 day of Dec 1854 for Stephen Driggers aged 20 years and Artemasia Lott about 15 years by the verbal consent of Arthur Lott, the father of Artemasia and the guardian of the said Stephen Driggers.
The state of Alabama Barbour County to a Judge, Minister or trustee lawfully qualified to solemnize marriage mani??-Grutin? You are hereby authorized to join together in the holy state of matrimony, Stephen Driggers and Artemasia Lott which being done you will make return thereof to my office within thirty days - Given under my hand at office this 16 day of Dec AD 1854
W. R. ???, Judge of Probate"
