Note for Bryan

Note to Bryan:
A few yeaars ago our Kiwanis Club had a boogth at the Altus Spring Gala. Our club president had just moved here from California. When he showed up to work the booth he had brought his dad and his uncle Woody who were visiting him. I visited with Woody and learned he was heading east on vacation. I suggested several Civil War sites for him to visit. He then told me his Dad had fought in the Civil War. I told him my great grandfather had fought in that war. I didn't want him to think I didn't believe him but I didn't. I guessed his age at 75, which was right, and suggested his Dad must have been pretty old when he was born. His Dad was 75 when Woody was born, lived another 18 years and had three more children. His Dad was from Virginia, and after the battle of Gettysburg decided the war was lost to the South, deserted and moved To West Va.Later this month the family is having a reunion here at Ozark and I look forward to renewing acquaintances with Woody.
I thought this was an unuusal set of circimstances and might be of interest to you.
