Powell Clayton, 30 Dec. 1864, in ORWR vol. 41(4), p. 966: "An order is being issued transferring the First Indiana Cavalry to mouth of White River . . . The major-general commanding directs . . . that the four small guns now in the possession of First Indiana be retained at Pine Bluff." Back up to 4 guns. And Yes, one of the guns had been captured in Mississippi; how did they still have 4 in Dec. 1864?
