27th Arkansas

William H. (Hick) Hicks was in the 27th. He was captured and taken to St. Louis...exchanged to City Point Va. but was not with the 27th at Shreveport in 65. I wonder if he was in another unit at the close of the war.
There is a William H. Hicks buried at the National Cemetery in Little Rock but he was with the 47th. William shows up in the 1870 and 80 census then disappears. He isn't buried in Boone Co. with any of his family and is not in the 1911 census of confederate veterans. The William in the Little rock cemetery died in 1906. Do you have any other information? I have his service records from the 27th and they don't have much information.
