Thank you for the speedy response. Rome,GA is a place for me to reseach. Sorry, I should have said battles and locations leading up to the battle of Atlanta. I realize how important it is to keep events as accurate as possible. My GGG Grandfather was John McLaughlin of the 6th Missouri Infantry, Company B CSA. I found in his military records two death dates one for a John McLaughlin (of the 6th Missouri)die May 20, 1864 from wounds received in battle May 1864, and the other for John McLaughlin die June 19, 1864 from wounds received in the battle of New Hope Church. After looking closer I found that there was information on two different John's and I believe the other was part of Company H, 2nd Reg. Mississippi.
