The problem with reenacting at my age is that those guys don't just reenact the battles, they also reenact the hardships. With the shape my heart's in, I don't believe I could stand the marching, drilling, heat, chiggers, etc.

Maybe I could reenact a prosperous planter, sitting on the veranda of my plantation house, sipping a mint julip, and cheering on the troops.
