You can find Col Lyles in the CD titles "Wars of the Rebellion" which is also in print although difficult to find. He was captured and set out the remainder of the war at Johnson Island Prison Camp in Ohio. My mothers maiden name was Lyles and our family history is traced back to include Col. Lyles. When the war ended, he returned to Arkansas in Crittendon County and eventually moved to Memphis where he served as a partner in a law firm. Col. Lyles died in Memphis and was buried there.
