Greetings. I'm new to the board but have lurked quite a bit and I'm glad to see such a nice community on the web. I am a graduate student at Rice University in Houston, and I am considering a scholarly project on the Third Arkansas Volunteer Infantry of Hood's Texas Brigade, ANV. Specifically, what I am seeking are letters, diaries, manuscripts or other writings of participants and survivors, up to and including post-war reunions. I realize this regiment is particularly popular, and so it is my hope that 'fans' of this unit or descendants of its members would be willing to point right direction for locating primary sources, particularly ones that aren't located in public archives.
