Re: Civil war records/J. T. Scott
In Response To: Civil war records/info ()

According to the list of Civil War veterans buried within White County list, just published by
the White County Historical Society, John Thomas Scott was born on August 4, 1838 and died
on July 29, 1916. His grave marker says Co. D., 1st Mississippi Inf. CSA. The cemetery name
is Henderson at Pangburn.
I scanned the whole 13 page list, and the other man is not listed. Was his grave marked and
was it in White County? If you ever had kinfolks pass through White County, I would suggest that
you join the White County Historical Society.
Hope this helps.
