In Response To: Civil War Ark Units ()

The name is unknown Mays, don't even know if he was a soldier. I am trying to figure out who someones father was, I thought since the child was born in about 1860 and the mother married another man then possibly the child's father was a civil war soldier. That's just one of the avenues I was following. Because really I am trying to figure out what the child's mother's maiden name is. The mother is the one my husband is descended from thru the man she married after the Mays child was born. So I don't know if Mays is the child's father's name or the mothers maiden name. I even found the death certificate for the child and the person who gave the information said her mothers maiden name was Glasscock, well that could be but she married a Glasscock so it more than likely isn't her maiden name. But the girl childs middle name is Gardner so that gives me another name, that might be the mother's maiden name. Yes I have looked at the website that is how I ended up on this page.

Thanks
