Linda, I forgot to add that the service records of this regiment are filed under "Cocke's Regiment Arkansas Infantry" (a later commander) on Rolls 242-248. J. A. Collins is on Roll 243. Use "Co. C" if you order his service record. His original company ("I") was redesignated in December 1862, and the record is filed as Company C.
