The men had to be, or should have been, young and tough to make that ride north.
The 46th Arkansas was raised for the trip and lot of men were lost on that journey.
My ggg uncle Lt. Frederick Price made that trip with Gen. Sterling Price and lived to return.
My ancestor, Lt. Fielding Price of the 1st Arkansas Cav. ended up dying on Feb. 1, 1865 in the
Yankee Prison for trying to help them on their return to Arkansas in Nov. of 64.
