Has anyone found possible transcription errors in the NARA compiled service records? I have come across one soldier who was “never mustered in” because of his young age, yet he appears in the 1860 census as age 29. In addition, his brother, age 25 in 1860, did muster into the same company. Furthermore, the soldier in question took the Amnesty Oath in Drew County on 08 Jan 1866. Just curious to see if anyone else has experienced possible errors.
