Re: Col. Yell: two grave sites?

When writing "More Generals in Gray" I was in contact with both Yell family descendants and a local Pine Bluff historian. General Yell's grave is in Bellwood, a rather crumbling edifice, and the Bellwood Cemetery records show 3 Yell gravesites there, but no record of exactly who is buried in them.

While most sources say Col. Yell was kia at Pleasant Hill, one note in OR says he died at Mansfield May 26th--either of his Pleasant Hill wounds, or of disease.

I think it probable he was buried in Mansfield, and that while he might have been reburied in Pine Bluff, there's no proof for it.
