I am thinking if you have not checked for CSA service, perhaps you should.
My ggg uncle was with the 4th and his family never did check for CSA service.
They have never talked to me since I told them he was CSA deserter. That might
explain why Cain was killed where he was.
According to the way I read the numbers, Cain entered service rather late.
Please do not be upset if I am way off base, but it is just a suggestion.
