I have a gg-grandfather that served in the Missouri Campaign in 1864 with Gen Sterling Price. He was a Sgt in the
45th Cavalry. His name was Eli Winslow from Jackson Co., Ark. For some reason, perhaps mistakenly, I have the impression
that some men were not released immediately after the war was over. Eli died in 1868 and wonder if there is any
way to know his actual release date as a Pow of the Union?
