Thanks to you all. I called my UDC registrar happy with this info. She looked in footnotes and does not have J.W. Darden in the 36th. She does show one in the 32nd (shows deserted but would bet went home to help with the business) and a pension but no record in the 10th. Bryan, the 36th does make sense since it is White Co. but she needs to know where to find it. I can still get a supplemental on the J.W. Darden with the lumber business since there is the picture of receipts. (aid to the Confederacy) To complicate it all is the biography. Is it JW the father with the lumber business and son who enlisted (in which case I could get a supplement on father/lumber and son/enlisted) or are they both the father with Mr. Wilsonson running the business while he was away? Allie (Mrs. Dr. Moon) at end of the bio as the daughter of the younger J.W. He would be more age appropriate for enlisting and is my great grandmother.
