Kay,,,,There were about 200 different people who hand signed for each treasury official.Mostly the clerks were women,many the wives and daughters of soldiers who had been killed in action.Since the notes were signed in Richmond through April of 1864(when all operations were removed to Columbia,SC),most of the signers were from there,some moved to Columbia,and others were hired in Columbia.

Only 4 Confederate notes had printed signatures.All others were hand signed in brown ink.It is most interesting to many people to find they had ancestors who signed Confederate money.

That would be Miss R.F.Ball who signed your note.I cannot find a name similar to your P.Cellonick.You might try a magnifier and take a closer look.
