R.F.Ball signatures
In Response To: Re: Information on W.P. Taylor ()

Ms. Wimmer, I checked the register for those who signed with R.F.Ball .She is a patriot as she signed many note over three years. Each type varies in numbers but around two thousand actual notes per type so roughly 58,000 notes on the high side. Just to give you an idea. She didn't sign any 1861 issues. In in the Acts of Apr.17 -Oct.13,1862 she signed thirteen types of notes all with L.M.Hunter,$1.00,2.00,5.00 and 10.00's. In the Act of March 23,1863 which actually had issues that went into 1864.She signed thirteen types again with L.M.Hunter E.C.Winston,M.L.Savage,$1.00,2.00,5.00 and 10.00's.In the Feb.17,1864 act she signed three types all with E.C. Winston, $10.00 and 20.00's.So there are only three people who signed for the Register with R.F.Ball for Treasurer. Nineteenth Century cursive can be confusing then we of today are used too and of course the repetition of hand signing every bill might tend to be sloppy.I have E.C.Winston's signature it is difficult to make out as I remember.Any 1862 note would be L.M.Hunter.I hope this is some use to you.It gave me a chance to dust off my reference books.
