Yes I have the listing of officers for Saline County militia prior to 1860 and all companies listed from 1860 up to 1862. For a time, there are two regiments, the 18th and the 66th. The 66th is after the war starts, I believe. I will have to get in to my records and get the exacts for you. And yes, I have identified each officer and the CSA unit that he served in. Some officers of a particular militia company became the officers of their respective CS unit. The example that pops into mind is that of the Saline Rifle Rangers. They show up as one of the militia companies, then become one of the companies of Bourland's battalion that grows into the 3rd Arkansas Cavalry (after a brief time as state troops I believe called the 1st Arkansas Mtd Volunteers State Troops). This company becomes Company C 3rd Ark Cav with same officers when with the militia. I know there are a few companies of the 11th Arkansas Infantry that also retained a high percentage of their militia officers as company officers. This regiment was raised in July 1861 by BG George M. Holt (of Benton and former Col of 18th Militia). More Saline County men served in this regiment (6 companies)than any other. I believe some who were militia officers in 1862 continued in the Home Guard or militia units afterwards, possibly being unconscriptable or gaining exemptions but there are almost no records of these local units. I know there was a Home Guards unit and if I remember, it may be listed as such in the 1862 militia break down as Home Guards. Will get back with you when I get the chance.
