A descendant of Cpl Thomas Malone, Co. C, 26th Arkansas Infantry, has sent me photos of his weapon, and I need some help in identifying it. The trigger guard looks like that of a Kentucky Rifle, and it is stamped with “Maker – Pine Bluff, Arks.” Another stamp reads what looks like “ JCHEARNLEY.” Can anyone offer additional information on this?
