I bought the small book by George Maddox entitled "Hard Trials and Tribulations of an Old Confederate Soldier." It seems that the author was originally in an Arkansas State Troops regiment and later some other command.

Can anyone here let me know what AST regiment plus what later Confederate regiment he served in?
