I came upon this intelligence through a Goggle search, but run into a dead end tracking him down.

Maddox, George, Hard Trials and Tribulations of an Old Confederate Soldier. Edited by Richard L. Norton and J. Troy Massey, index by Richard L. Norton. Captain George Maddox tells of his life as a Confederate Guerrilla and Cavalry Captain. His memoir begins with the Battle of Oak Hills (Wilson's Creek) and continues through Price's 1864 raid, during which Maddox commanded a Cavalry Company under Col. S. [Sidney] D. Jackman, in Shelby's Division. Also related are numerous stories of Maddox's experiences in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri, as a Confederate Guerrilla. The final chapter was written as a tribute to Gen. Shelby. Reprint of an 1897 edition. Oak Hills Publishing, 1997. Soft cover. $15.00

Jackman's Missouri Cavalry, Col. Jackman, Commanding Brigade during the Price expedition.
