Well if I was a bettin man, I would say there may be some connection with Buster's BN. But I do not know much about this unit. In Saline Co just south of LR there was a man named Jonas Webb that was a notorious "Confederate" commander, he scoured the countryside for draft evaders and "others". If you remember the movie "Cold Mountain" he reminds me of that local CS home guard unit that hunted draft dodgers etc. But I have no way of knowing if the Murdoch that joined Webb went on to serve in Buster's unit. Perhaps someone like B. Howerton can shed some light on this. However, I do not believe he is the man in the 15th Ark Inf... Buster's BN was known as the 15th Ark BN as well.
