I do not know what unit Buster's BN may have morphed with... I just know that a couple of men in the unit show as captured during the raid on Oct 10. But this doesn't necessarily mean they were with Buster I guess, so I may be jumping the gun a little now that I look more. It said Buster's BN was dismounted in June of 64. So I guess its just best to state it as a possibility. Thanks for keeping the questions up and making me dig deeper.
As to WEbb's Co, there are no records of it officially but it is mentioned a few times in OR's and in local diary, letters etc. He was more or less a leader of a group of "Confederates" that used the charge to catch deserters and return them, but usually they just dispatched them themselves. I have at least 2 accounts of men killed by them. The rest of the time I think they just preyed on the innocent.
As to Crawford's men I have some info on men captured, wounded during the raid. His letters include one written just after the raid describing the hardship to his wife. Here is a small list of what I have, I would have to puruse his other companies, Co B is the one I have the most info on.
