A detachment of 9th Texas Cavalry was already there working for Col Young. Whitfields Battalion was there also. Do not know if Murphy's Arkansas Cav Company was there. Probably was as they had been attached to Whitfield after Wilson Creek. Some place I have read that the 3rd and 6th did not report to Young. Know anything about that?
